Playing With Chairs
Hanna is here to share more insights about this season! "One of my favorite aspects of mid-century modern design is the chairs—they’re incredibly distinctive to the style. Mid-century modern chairs turn everyday seating into design. Created with the idea that form should follow function, they feature clean lines and organic shapes. The materials were also innovative for the 1950s—molded plywood allowed for smooth, curved forms, while thin metal frames kept designs light and minimal. Fiberglass also emerged during this time, enabling entirely new shapes. A true hallmark of the style!" What will you turn these chairs into today?
