During Prohibition in the 1920s, alcohol was banned—but that didn’t stop the party! Hidden bars known as speakeasies became part of the era’s underground culture, often marked by subtle signs and tucked-away entrances. This sense of secrecy and rebellion influenced Art Deco design, blending glamour with intrigue—where elegance met a hint of the forbidden.
